Justinian Buckley July 15, 2019 Share July 15, 2019 Hi there, I've been using this method below for NR in normal and Davinci colour managed projects: https://www.provideocoalition.com/solutions-to-resolve-part-1-precise-sharpening-and-noise-reduction/ But when in ACES using the key A/B mode all you get is a white screen? Is this just a consequence of The ACES workflow or a bug in Resolve?
Hendrik Proosa July 16, 2019 Share July 16, 2019 (edited) Probably a consequence of how A/B mode is creating the image. It is based on some simple difference arithmetics (subtraction and scaling/offset or something similar), which is meant to work on display referred values. If your working space is something like ACEScct, A/B mode produces values that are close to 1.0 after passing through rec709 ODT. So I think it works as expected, but you wouldn't expect it to work like this. Edited July 16, 2019 by Hendrik Proosa
