Bruno Mansi May 7, 2017 Share May 7, 2017 (edited) I'm afraid I find this tutorial on the 'perfect' skin tone a huge over-simplification, and that ultimately, it's the mood the director/DOP/colourist are trying to achieve that will determine the exposure, not some number in a plugin. The author of this tutorial completely ignores darker skin types. What about black actors?? Below are some powerful movie images that have benefited from ignoring Mr AK's advice. bruce alan greene November 27, 2018 Share November 27, 2018 I think.... If you are using "false colors" for exposure, you are not a Colorist. Nothing wrong with it, if it works for you, but it's not really how it's done. For photoshop, color grading, etc. This method completely discards any "art" of color correction. Because... there is NO perfect exposure for faces. Every scene is different
Margus Voll November 27, 2018 Share November 27, 2018 "Perfect" is also really wide and variable concept depending on story and mood and so on. Longer one lives more he knows that there is perfect somewhere out there
