Thomas Singh September 6, 2017 Share September 6, 2017 Hi. I got some revised FX clips and want to replace the original clips on the timeline. Can I simply drag the new files into the media pool replacing the other clips?
Maciej Frydrych September 6, 2017 Share September 6, 2017 Hi. Davinci should recognize new clip. On timeline clips should be visable red box(If timecode is correct). Double click on it give You posibility to change to new clips. Or select clip on timeline and new fx clip in bin and force conform selected clips. But If metadata is correct You can delate old clip from bin. Davinci relink to new clip I think.
Donovan Bush September 12, 2017 Share September 12, 2017 Select the new FX clip in the media pool on the Edit page, then right click the clip you want to replace on the timeline and select "conform lock with media pool clip". This will keep any work you've done (speed ramps, keyframes etc) and just replace the media. If you're working in ACES and the FX clip is an EXR, the grade and anything else will remain intact with the new clip. 2
