Hi everyone, I am trying to display DCI P3 properly on my HP DreamColor Z27x Studio Display. But everything is going purple when I select the colorspace on the screen menu. I can see my windows behind it but I have this Color on the top. (Windows 10) I'm using DaVinci resolve set to DCIP3 and the HP DreamColor Z27x Studio Display. (Colorspace set to DCIP3, 1440p) I have a Nvidia GTX 1080 connected via display port to the screen. ( GA-Z170X-Gaming G1 motherboard compatible with Thunderbolt) Do I need to set something on the graphic card or the screen? Or do I need to buy external hardware like a DeckLink? ( But I need to find one DCIP3 compatible) Thank you very much guys! (The rushes I'm using are from an Arri Alexa in Applepro res 4444 in Log C)

Hi all, With 993 days since the last update of the Mac Pro I am now in the process of purchasing components for a PC-build which essentially means that I will shift much of the heavy lifting to a Windows-based platform. Not having built any PC's in the last years I can see there is a wealth of interesting components to choose from. I have been compiling a list of parts that seem like a good fit but would like to hear your recommendations based on experience. At the moment I am looking at a full size ATX motherboard, a Xeon-processor, internal storage (expanding to external storage later) and good GPU for Davinci Resolve and some Assimilate Scratch work when needed. Motherboard: ASUS X99-E WS/USB3.1 http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/X99E_WSUSB_31/overview/ CPU: Intel Xeon (good enough to do heavy lifting (together with GPU) of raw codecs such as RED / CinemaDNG etc)) Memory: 64GB ECC (expandable to 128) Storage (system + work): Intel PCI-E SSD 750 series https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/se/sv/solid-state-drives/solid-state-drives-750-series.html (2 in RAID?) GPU: Nvidia Titan X or Z ? All recommendations are greatly appreciated! Many thanks Michael

I wonder how others feel about Resolve station on Xeon vs i7? I think of going pc for more power but have not decided yet finally. Xeon is better in some tasks but i7 seems more cost effective. As i plan to do other things also on the same machine like Fusion and some 3d plus DCP encoding then core count is also important i7 10c vs dual xeon 24 cores.
